The international festival Tanz im August, presented by HAU Hebbel am Ufer, is showing a full three-week programme with international and local choreographers from different generations. Until August 27, 2022 a total of 21 productions with around 200 artists from over 25 countries are being shown in 87 performances at HAU Hebbel am Ufer and 6 other venues in Berlin.

Retrospective 2022
The focus of the 34th edition of Tanz im August is on the influential Swedish-Italian choreographer Cristina Caprioli. Tanz im August is devoting the big retrospective ONCE OVER TIME to her, with over 22 works from the past two decades.

Tanz im August, presented by HAU Hebbel am Ufer, is a festival for contemporary dance in Berlin, Germany. Founded in 1989 the festival offers an international range of contemporary dance performances, prestigious companies, innovative choreographers as well as a sense for emerging aesthetics and formats from all over the world. Berlin-based artists present their newest works and numerous German and international premieres are celebrated here. The events at Tanz im August are shown at various venues and locations across Berlin.
