Big Pulse operates as the “data controller” of all personal information collected through bigpulsedance.eu. All data is gathered and processed in accordance with data protection legislation, including the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), effective May 2018.

How data is collected

Big Pulse Dance Alliance collects personal data in order to share relevant BPDA news & updates, as well as to ensure the best user experience on our website.

Mailchimp

Users can choose to share their names and email addresses via the subscription form on our website in order to receive announcements, updates and news about Big Pulse performances and activities. This personal data is stored securely within the Mailchimp database. You can unsubscribe at any time by selecting the ‘unsubscribe’ option at the bottom of any Big Pulse email.

MailChimp processes data in the United States and adheres to the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield framework, which certifies the responsible and compliant handling of personal data between these entities. MailChimp facilitates the collection and storage of contact details for BPDA, which allows us to create distribution lists, send emails including marketing communications and place online advertisements. Data may be transferred to MailChimp sub-processors which perform critical services for MailChimp such as the prevention of abuse and customer support. The Big Pulse website uses cookies to improve the visitor experience. Cookies are files which are stored in your browser and which are used to personalise your online experience. Data collected includes IP addresses, browser types, domain names, access times and referring website addresses. This data is used through Google Analytics to generate reports and helps us make sure that you are able to easily navigate our website and that visitors are finding the information they are looking for.

Big Pulse contracts with trusted third parties in order to provide exceptional services which Big Pulse is not able to offer on its own (e.g.Mailchimp). 

Big Pulse Dance Alliance will never sell or rent personal data to any third parties and will not share your personal information with an unauthorised third party unless required to do so by law.

Big Pulse gathers and processes personal data on the basis of consent. Your information is used only to send or grant you access to the information about Big Pulse, its artists and activities which you have requested or agreed to receive, and to improve your experience on our website.
